As every true Parisienne, I’m a firm believer in beauty in simplicity. When in doubt, I love subtracting distracting elements to get down to the basics. My rule is to focus on interesting shapes and textures while keeping it simple.

 

A little white dress is the perfect essential piece of ERIN OFF DUTY’s wardrobe to wear on a hot day in the city. A solid white base leaves you with endless styling possibilities. It is one of those special pieces that go from days to nights to weekends to holidays. There’s just something so fab about slipping in one of these LWDs in the summer. 

 

This season I was searching for a crisp, clean and classic LWD and I found this Isa Arfen’s white cotton-poplin shirt dress classic and timeless, while full of SS17 trends at the same time. It’s crafted with a wide boat neck and elbow-length cocoon sleeves that reveal just enough skin and offers an elegant play on proportions. I’ll be definitely using it to master the season’s statement layering; it can be unbuttoned on the top to expose the shoulders, paired with some statement trousers or tied up at the waist with a silk scarf. The styling possibilities are endless, and I just love how much of a blank canvas it is. Needless to say, I have some pretty big plans for it. I can’t wait to see how gorgeous it looks on a summer tan.

Styling tip: To dress like a woman of Paris, invest into a few quality staples to mix and match. Wear neutral tones and pair them with bright color high heels, or keep it ‘minimalist chic’ with nude sandals and delicate gold jewelry.
