When invited to the fanciest dinner party, I felt that some glitz & glamour would be appropriate for the Erin Off Duty evening. This summer, seventies clubbing vibe and glam bling are back: nothing better than all that glow and glitter to bring up the festive shimmer, perfect to shine on summer nights.
I opted for sequined black dress and statement blazer combo, designed by talented Racil Chalhoub. Her brand is recognized for the magic of its feminine tuxedos. Racil’s SS17 collection entitled Rock Legends & Wives takes its design cues from 1970s rock legends. I instantly fell in love with this rock’s glamour couple; a Mick Jagger inspired lava-red blazer and Bianca evening dress named after his first wife.
Strikingly detailed in an array of black sequin embellishments, Racil’s Bianca evening dress aims to capture the effortless elegance and expressive rule-breaking of 1970’s style while the statement red blazer with lustrous black satin lapels and heart-shaped buttons adds a modern twist on the classic tuxedo.
To add some extra fun to the look, I wore Olympia Le Tan clutch inspired by Snoopy cartoon. No need to say that my kids love it as much as I do.
Style tip: invest in a strong color blazer for night out/ elegant look or to wear it a casual way with jeans.
